Before I decided to paint an
A-6, I knew I wanted to paint sunlight reflecting off water, illuminating the undersides of whatever plane I decided on. The
reds on the bottoms of the drop tanks, nose and wing give the plane a solid appearance, more so than if I had painted them
in a darker shadow. This painting received a Par Excellence Award from the Experimental Aircraft Association in 2000 and was
published in Sport Aviation. It was also displayed at the Simuflite art exhibit in 1999 and was featured in Flying magazine.
